I'm feeling a little less than fresh this morning, but all for good reason as I attended a wonderful Peroni cocktail masterclass at Drake & Morgan's in King's Cross last night. Dressed as a beautiful Autumnal garden, the Peroni Nastro Azzuro pop-up hosts mixology classes throughout September & October, teaching guests how to create three (delicious) Peroni infusions.

We made: The Limoni, a refreshing drink inspired by the finest Amalfi coast lemons; The Negroni, which brings a Peroni Nastro Azzuro spin to the classic sweet orange aperitif; and a Peroni Spritz which celebrates the iconic Venetian tipple with plenty of citrus notes.

The class was intimate, fun and light hearted - we had a wonderful Italian mixologist who taught us the history of each iconic cocktail we made, whilst giving us time to chat and enjoy our drinks between each infusion creation. The House of Peroni room was simply breathtaking - autumnal leaves adorn the ceiling, sounds of nature play in the background and notes of copper are at every turn. It's the perfect way to spend an evening with friends or a date.

After the cocktail masterclass, Drake & Morgan very kindly provided my friend and I with a complimentary 3 course meal, which was delicious. Unfortunately, we'd rather filled ourselves up on beer and cocktails by this point but I would definitely go back there to eat again. The restaurant itself is lovely - it has a great atmosphere and the service was outstanding.

If you are looking for a way to spend an evening over the next month I'd highly recommend visiting the House of Peroni to try your hand at cocktail making. To book your place, please email info@drakeandmorgan-kingscross.co.uk.
