The Plum Quartz* palette by Pixi by Petra is a beautiful sextet of plum, cocoa and pinky nude shades which form part of the wider Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes collection. The shadows have a mineral formula that helps reflect light away from imperfections, allowing the pretty gemstone inspired tones to enhance and flatter the eyes. Admittedly, the shades of eyeshadow in this palette are a little more Autumn than they are Summer, but if you're boring like me and tend to wear similar shades all year round, then this won't put you off.
I love the mix of shades that come in this palette, with lighter nude shades that can be swished over the lid in a single stroke - and are perfect for a simple every day look to brighten the eye, and darker shades to define the eyes and create striking looks. It's a really lightweight but durable palette, which is perfect for popping in your hand bag or taking away with you for a weekend away when you want to pack light.
The palettes apply quite sheer, but are buildable and provided I use an eye primer as always, last well on my eye lids. I found that applying the shadows when both dry or wet works well, the latter being good if you're going for a more striking look, but ultimately the colours blend well however they're applied.
At £15.00 for 6 shadows, I think this is great value for money. Pixi have 7 beautiful palettes with a whole array of shades from gold to aquamarine - meaning everyone should easily be able to find something that works for them. The Mesmerizing Mineral Palettes can be picked up in Pixi boutiques or online.
Have you tried any of the Pixi by Petra makeup?
