One such opportunity I received recently was to visit celebrity facialist Su-man for one of her renowned signature facials*. Su-man has spent vast parts of her life as a dancer, pilates and Shiatsu expert which is evident in the choice of massage techniques she uses. Whilst Su-man usually works at her own secluded London studio, she's also an occasional resident at the W Hotel's Away Spa, which was where I visited her after work one evening.
Su-man is often described as a little pocket rocket, she's a tiny lady in her early 50s but truly looks 20 - I've never seen someone look so (naturally) good for their age before! As I arrived at the spa, I was given a bespoke skin analysis to tailor the facial to my specific needs (I had dehydrated and sensitive skin) and then we set to work. After a slightly awkward moment where I wasn't given any privacy to take my clothes off before the facial (eek!) I laid back to relax and let Su-man do her magic.
Su-man deep cleanses, extracts impurities, exfoliates, tones and moisturises the face with her carefully designed massage techniques and uses her own specially created skincare products. I was also delighted to discover, that alongside the facial, Su-man also expertly massages the neck, upper arms, hands and feet. The aim of the massage is to inject moisture into the skin and reinvigorate the muscles in the face. The facial was wonderful - it wasn't the most relaxing facial I've had - down to Su-man's slightly faster paced massage techniques, however, it was definitely the best facial I've ever had in terms of the impact on my skin. My skin felt simply amazing - soft, supple and luminous.
After my facial, I was very kindly sent one of Su-man's products which were recently released for sale. Having experienced her products during my facial and seen the wonderful results they had on my skin I was excited to be able to include one in my skin care routine.
The Rehydrating Toning Essence is described as the perfect bridge between cleansing and moisturising. It's a gel texture that transforms into a watery hydrator when applied onto the skin, and works to refresh and awaken the skin. The essence includes hyaluronic acid which works to replenish the water that's lost during the cleansing process as well as rose petal essence, green tea and honey which repair and soften the skin, and also provide the product with a gorgeous scent.
I pat this essence into my face with my fingertips, and it leaves my face feeling plump, soft and dewy. I love to use it both morning and evening as it works well under makeup and also leaves my skin feeling amazing when applied before bed.
Su-man's Rehydrating Toning Essence costs £37 and can be purchased online here. To experience one of her amazing facials, it'll set you back £200 but can be booked here.
Where is your favourite place to have a facial in London?
This sounds like an absolute miracle product! I'd love to try it out <3

I know you also had a massage on your neck, upper arms etc but I'm just wondering why you had to remove your clothes for the facial? x

Su-man is really very nice for massages and facials. I didn't know that it is also good for toning of the skin. Thanks for sharing benefits of it.
