As you may have read, I recently got back from a week's holiday in the South of France - and whilst the majority of the trip involved meandering through cobbled streets and gorging on copious amounts of cheese and wine, I, as ever, found some time for a spot of shopping. I got a real mixture of stuff from this trip, from clothing to homeware, accessories and beauty products so I thought I'd share my little haul with you all.

Beauty
For some reason, I always get excited to visit Sephora - even the European stores which stock products that are also readily available in the UK (bar Sephora's own brand products). I'm not sure if it's just the thrill of being in a store I can't go to regularly, or the fact that I'm on holiday - but I always end up spending money in there, regardless of whether I could have picked up the same product in Boots.

This trip was no different - I tried to be pretty restrained so didn't spend a fortune but I did pick up a couple of old favourites, as well as two new products to try. Firstly, I picked up two of my holy grails the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base - these worked out as pretty much the same price as in the UK, maybe a smidgen cheaper. I then decided to pick up a couple of new products to try and my first choice was the Too Faced - Better Than Sex mascara. Whilst the name offends me slightly, I'd heard great things about the mascara and am loving it so far - I'll be sharing my thoughts with you soon. Lastly, I picked up a Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in the shade Golden Pink. I had planned to pick up one of the By Terry Ombre Blackstar sticks, but in the end preferred the shades available from Bobbi Brown.

Clothing
I only picked up a couple of bits of clothing (one of which was this coat that featured in my recent OOTD) as I didn't have huge amounts of space left in my case. I did stumble across a gorgeous shop called Oysho that sold a host of lovely pyjamas, loungewear and underwear sets which I spent quite a lot of time browsing in. I picked up a delicate bralette set (no need to share that) and a few pairs of adorable little socks that are perfect for wearing with my new brogues.

Homeware
Homeware was probably one of my favourite things to buy on my trip, because we stumbled across the most amazing store called Mode du Maison. Not only was it full of a huge range of beautiful homeware, but it was also inexpensive and decked out with Christmas decorations which made me feel super happy inside. My boyfriend and I picked out a Christmas decoration each to hang on his parent's Christmas tree (I'm spending Christmas with them this year), and then picked out a few rolls of printed gold washi tape to decorate my Christmas presents/life with. Last but not least, I bought this heavenly copper candle holder, which looks so lovely in my flat and is just the perfect size to hold a Jo Malone candle. Whilst it wasn't the easiest purchase to bring home, it was more than worth it!

Accessories
Finally, my favourite purchase of the trip was this beautiful copper leather card holder from a little boutique in the town we were staying. It's made by a brand called Mila Louise who have some lovely products (I could have bought a lot more) that are all very reasonably priced. This particular card holder cost just €31 (£22) and will be perfect for using every day as my oyster card holder, or to replace my purse when I have a small handbag for a night out or when travelling.

What do you think of my French haul?
