With only 86 days until Christmas, it's time to at least start considering gift ideas for loved ones. Paul Mitchell have released a number of Christmas gift sets which would make the perfect presents and I was lucky enough to receive The Gift of Total Renewal* to try ahead of time.  

Tea Tree is one of my favourite scents as I find it incredibly invigorating and uplifting. It's the perfect scent to use in the morning to wake you up and kick start the day. The Gift of Total Renewal includes five products including a shampoo, conditioner, body bar, shaping cream and firm hold gel - all of which contain the same delicious, fresh Tea Tree scent. 

The shampoo and conditioner were the first products I tried and they were lovely to use as the natural tea tree oil, peppermint and lavender mix work to invigorate the scalp and leave my hair feeling soft, detangled and smooth. 

The body bar was probably the most interesting item for me as it's not a product I've used before. It's enriched with parsley flakes which help to gently exfoliate the skin, and as tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and disinfectant it helps the skin heal making it the perfect shaving companion. I rub into my skin in the shower and it lathers up really well and can then be used all over my face and body, although I particularly like to use it on my legs. For me this is the star product and I'd really recommend checking it out, it's great on dry skin and leaves me feeling super moisturised. 

Unfortunately I don't use creams and gels in my hair so didn't find much use for the Shaping Cream and Firm Hold Gel, however I think they'd be great for those with shorter hair who might rely on hair products to help style their hair. For those like me who could live without the hair styling products, there are other gift sets available which might be more suitable. That said, I think this would make a great gift for both men and women and can be picked up for £47.50.
