I feel I speak on behalf of most women when I say that I wish my hair had more natural volume. Alas, it doesn't, so I have to look at techniques and products that give it some extra help.

One of my most recent discoveries was L'oreal's Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray (what a mouthful) which I picked up from Boots a few weeks ago. So far, it has turned out to be one of the best hairsprays I've used in ages. It has a delicious apple scent, and a nice smell is something I always appreciate in a product I'm spraying right by my face.

One of the main selling points for me was that this promises to have a matte texture, and considering hairsprays can often make hair look somewhat lacquered I was really keen to see if this lived up to it's promise. When I spray this over my hair, it's a really fine mist that leaves hair with a completely matte, non-sticky feel. I generally split my hair into sections (messily) and spray right at the crown and then again a little further down, to ensure that my hair is evenly volumised from top to bottom. Depending on whether I'm going on a night out or not, I'll follow up with some backcombing to really add some oomph.

The staying power of this is good, but fairly short term. With some back combing it lasted a few hours before needing a top up, but to be honest I've never really come across a hair spray that lasts all day so it's no big deal for me that this doesn't either. This really does give some huge hair.

Overall I think this product is great and given it's only £3.79 I think its excellent value for money and I'll definitely be repurchasing.
